This is a permanent full-time position, created in recognition of the increased demand for skilled services due to economic growth within our communities. Building Officials work a full-time schedule that flexes to meet seasonal demand (35 hrs/wk in winter, 40hrs/wk in summer); however they are paid on a fixed 37.5 hour week year round.
