Those in the construction industry are often helping clients with one of the biggest financial investments they’ll ever make. As more individuals become interested in sustainable and energy-efficient design, builders will want to stay ahead of the curve.

A week-long course in passive house design and construction is coming to Cranbrook. Passive house design is a rapidly growing concept for energy efficiency and sustainable design.

The course is aimed at Canadian building design professionals, architects, engineers, contractors, planners, advanced students and others who are motivated to learn how to build to the world’s most advanced and ecological construction standard – the Passive House Standard. -Canadian Passive House Institute

The course starts October 7, 2013, and continues through October 11. The cost is $1,550, which includes training materials, lunches, snacks and coffee. Sign up at the Canadian Passive House Institute.
