When: November 5 - 7, 2019

Where: Cranbrook, British Columbia

The annual Minerals South Conference and Trade Show, organized by the East Kootenay Chamber of Mines, will be coming to Cranbrook in November. It will be held at the Heritage Inn Hotel and Convention Centre, 803 Cranbrook Street North.

The conference will feature a short course, technical sessions, social events and a trade show.

Attendees can also participate in a Permitting and Reclamation Practices and Bonding workshop. This full-day workshop is hosted by the Association for Mineral Exploration BC (AME), along with the East Kootenay Chamber of Mines and the BC Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources (MEMPR). Find out how AME is expanding its toolbox, working with Indigenous groups and undertaking reclamation efforts. There will be a summary of the new MEMPR guidance document for Notice of Work (NoW) permitting.

In addition, there will be an interactive session on reclamation bonding. Participants are invited to bring their laptops, and they will be able to work with a reclamation bond calculator.

For more information about the conference, call 250-464-9559, email [email protected] or visit the East Kootenay Chamber of Mines website.
