Theresa Wood, community events co-ordinator for the District of Invermere, started her own business in April 2016. She opened MiCasa Coworking in a heritage home at 602 - 14th Street in Invermere. MiCasa offers affordable part-time and full-time office space, a private-entrance boardroom for up to 10 people, and also a pretty outdoor area with a water feature. Three of MiCasa’s 10 spaces are occupied full time, and Wood said she’s had inquiries from out-of-town business people about establishing part-time offices at MiCasa. Wood calls the co-work space a hidden gem in downtown Invermere.
