Brandon Bolen of Bolen Engineering likes being a problem solver. “I like the client relations side of things,” he said. “I like being a partner in helping people get what they need.” Bolen grew up in Jaffray, went to school in Kelowna, and came back to Cranbrook to work for McElhanney Consulting. He received his professional engineering licence in April 2017 and decided to hang out his own shingle. As a structural engineer, Bolen is mostly called on by architects and contractors. His projects include renovations, restorations and new builds for private residences, commercial structures and industrial sites.
