Cranbrook entrepreneurs Michael and Lanna van der Velden have partnered with Cranbrook businessman Mike Ostynski, owner of Carpet SuperStore, to open a new automatic, touchless car wash on the south side of Cranbrook. The new business will be called Mike's Auto Wash and is just across the street from Fas Gas.

The facility will feature two automatic car wash bays and one outside spray bay for RV's and other larger vehicles. The building is being constructed by Leiman Construction of Cranbrook.

The touchless car wash ensures that no equipment, brushes or clothes touch the surface of the vehicle during the washing process. This ensures that no damage or harm is done to the car or truck being washed and is designed to give a sparkling clean finish to the vehicle.

Construction is underway and is slated to be complete by late fall 2014. Michael and Lanna van der Velden were the previous owners of the Medi-Chair franchise in Cranbrook.
