Montane – Parastone’s newest Fernie residential development

Parastone Developments of Fernie recently announced their biggest and most ambitious residential development project to date.

“We are very excited about this acquisition and to unveil the community’s new name,” said Simon Howse, GM of Parastone. “Montane references the defining experiences and features of mountain living and perfectly symbolizes our vision for this incredible piece of land."

The 660 acre parcel of land is about one kilometre from Fernie`s heritage downtown, on the west side of the city. Once existing power lines are re-located the development could proceed as early as this fall.

Parastone explains that, “MONTANE is a new neighbourhood mountain community development in Fernie BC. The development of the MONTANE community vision was guided by the site’s social, physical and recreational connections to Fernie’s historic core… and a deep commitment to direct social, economic, and environmental investment in and for the community.”
