The residents of Invermere are thinking big when it comes to their new Columbia Valley Community Centre.  At the same time the community is being challenged to raise $1.5 million to help fund the “nice-to-haves” for the project.  The District of Invermere has secured $7 million which leaves the community to raise the aforementioned $1.5 million—for things like library improvements, theatre-style seating, curtains and lighting, room partitions, sound system and kitchen facilities.

The new community centre has been designed with multiple user groups in mind. The current hall was built to accommodate the growing community and 50 years later, they are building a new centre with the same spirit.

Join the residents for fun events throughout the year with all proceeds benefiting different areas of the new community centre. It is anticipated that the project could be complete for the fall of 2017.
