Initial ground work underway at Sparwood’s MiddleTown development

Sparwood's new MiddleTown Crossing development progressing.

Dirt is being moved, underground infrastructure laid out, and utilities pipes and lines installed at Sparwood's new MiddleTown Crossing. The project is being developed by the District of Sparwood and will be home to facilities of industrial supplier Joy Global, major employer, Teck Coal, and hotel and real estate developer, Schickedanz Properties.

The engineering consultant on the project is McElhanney Consulting Services and the contractor on the initial phase one is Copcan Contracting.

The development is located directly across from the intersection of Highway #3 and Highway #43. It also contains several parcels of property slated for future commercial and industrial development.
